The wedding is performed by the Rev. Robert Blair at the Union Congregational Church. Hathaway is subsequently revealed to be a woman named Ethel Kimball. She pleads guilty to falsifying a marriage license and claims the marriage was a prank and that the bride knew she was a woman.
